Film screening: Yáa at Wooné (Respect for All Things)

The Canadian Studies Center, along with the Nippon Foundation Ocean Nexus Center at UW EarthLab, the School of Aquatic and Fishery Sciences, the School of Marine and Environmental Affairs, The Center for American Indian and Indigenous Studies (CAIIS) and the Evans School of Public Policy and Governance will be hosting a screening of Yáa at Wooné (Respect for All Things), a documentary about the Herring Protectors of Sitka Sound, on Wednesday, May 5 at 4:00pm (Pacific time).
Louise Brady, a Kiks.ádi Tlingit leader featured in the film, will be attending to introduce the story and answer questions. Yoshitaka Ota, the director of the Ocean Nexus Center will be moderating the Q&A after the screening.
