New UW Leadership Certificate In Emerging Tech & Trends

We’re living in a time of intense transformation. This accelerated pace of change — exacerbated by the technologies we use and evidenced by disruptive social, economic, and political trends — requires a different kind of leadership. How can we make decisions to benefit our stakeholders and communicate credibly with them given this emergent environment?
That’s the challenge the University of Washington’s new for-credit Certificate in Leadership in Emerging Technologies & Trends seeks to address. Launching this fall as part of a three-quarter course cycle, this groundbreaking curriculum is directly aligned with the Communication Leadership graduate program.  The first cohort of Certificate students will sit alongside current Comm Lead graduate students in thought-provoking classroom sessions — which promise to be as strategic as they will be practical.

Join an information session on June 9 at 12 p.m. PDT to find out how this new program can help make you a more effective “emergent” leader — whether you work at a for-profit, for-purpose, or civic organization. UW Communication Leadership program co-founder Hanson Hosein and faculty Dr. Nika Kabiri will explain why learning about this unique approach to leadership, decision-making, and communication now is so urgent.
