Study Abroad November Highlights

Announcing UW Study Abroad’s virtual What the Heck is Study Abroad? sessions for November. Students can register for any of the following dates:
Tuesday November 2, from 10:30-11:30am PST,
Thursday, November 12, from 12:30-1:30pm PST
Wednesday, November 18, from 2:30-3:30pm PST
Thursday, November 24, from 2:30-3:30pm PST
Additionally, UW Study Abroad is giving away a scholarship of $500 as part of our UW Global Month promotion to any UW student who opens an advising profile between now and November 30.

24/7 Mental Health Support for Students – Introducing My SSP

UW has just finalized a partnership with My SSP to provide students access to real-time, confidential mental health and crisis intervention support, available 24/7 and in multiple languages.
This is a key component of UW’s efforts to meet rising demand for mental health support from a geographically-dispersed student body in light of the pandemic.

Enrollment Closing: Sustainability Online Courses start in <2 weeks

Enrollment is closing soon for these online professional development courses:

Indigenous Knowledge & Sustainability in Peru (11/2 – 11/18)
Ethics of Sustainable Development (new dates) in Nepal (11/20 – 12/14)
Graduate level course in Renewable Energy at Reykjavik University, Iceland

After the completion of readings, lectures, discussions, and a capstone project during each 2 week course, your students will be awarded a smart certificate or graduate level credit from Reykjavik University and gain access to a professional development network of over 3,200+ young sustainability leaders to continue to help them develop their 21st-century workplace skills.
