This Spring, the Applied Math diversity committee will be organizing the fourth iteration of the Women in Applied Math Mentorship program (WAMM). In essence, this directed reading-style program pairs undergraduates with female graduate student mentors from the department to work on a quarter-long project involving an applied math-related field of interest.Read more
The Washington Directed Reading Program (WDRP) is a new initiative from the Mathematics Department, which launched in Fall 2018. WDRP is modeled after successful Directed Reading Programs (DRPs) at other universities around the country.Read more

The CAIIS Research Family-Peer Mentor program, with funding from the Mellon Foundation, supports opportunities to create and maintain Research Families—cohorts of students working closely with faculty, professional staff, post-doc and/or graduate students to conduct research projects in American Indian and Indigenous Studies.
