BSE Honors Program

There are two types of honors programs for the Bioresource Science and Engineering (BSE) major.
UW Honors Program
Students entering UW may apply for the UW Honors Program, a competitive, interdisciplinary, four-year program in which students complete both general education and major requirements, specified in the honors curriculum. These students become candidates for the degree with interdisciplinary honors. School of Environmental and Forest Sciences students may achieve graduation with College Honors by completing the requirements for both the BSE Honors Program and the Interdisciplinary Honors Program.
Departmental Honors
Environmental and Forest Sciences students who decide not to apply to the UW Honors Program, may choose to complete Departmental Honors in Environmental and Forest Sciences to receive a degree with honors in the BSE majors by completing 10 credits of honors work. Students must have a cumulative minimum of 3.3 and a minimum Environmental and Forest Sciences GPA of 3.5 to be eligible. View the complete Honors Program requirements.
