Share your enthusiasm for science by serving as a Science Fair Mentor for 5th grade students at Bryant Elementary School. As a Scientist Mentor, you will develop and lead a project related to your field of expertise. Once a week, you will meet with your small group of 5th graders to work on your science project and guide students in the most important parts of the scientific process: formulating a question or hypothesis, developing appropriate experiments with controlled, manipulated and measured variables, analyzing results, and drawing/communicating conclusions. This is your opportunity to share your learning and experience, be a team leader and inspire future scientists!

We are looking for Mentors with excellent communication skills, consistent weekly attendance and volunteer experience with young people. All Science Fair Mentors will attend an orientation that occurs during the first session. Our 5th grade teacher team and the Science Fair Coordinator support Science Fair Mentors.
