Research areas
During his undergraduate studies at the University of Washington, Apollo researched the environmental impacts of ocean-based tourism, exploring pathways for decarbonization and marine debris reduction. Apollo also contributed to phytoremediation and ecological restoration projects on a former landfill site, applying nature-based solutions to contamination challenges.
Currently, Apollo is applying their background in environmental science, climate science, and resource management to draft and test the feasibility of a forest management plan. Apollo’s work is grounded in an appreciation for plant ecology and a commitment to integrating Indigenous knowledge and environmental justice into sustainable management practices.
