Academic Success Coaching is a service where, through a series of one-on-one appointments, you can work with a coach to get from where you are now academically to where you want to be and create a foundation for success in college. Coaching focuses on the overall academic experience instead of individual subjects. It is not academic advising, personal counseling, a disciplinary meeting, or individual tutoring.
Husky Health and Well-Being: A one-stop shop for all resources in this area, from UW recreation to medical and dental health, to all mental health concerns from low-level to crisis services for yourself or others, to keeping safe on campus ; includes link of where to go for urgent help for yourself or others, to getting involved in Husky Health and Well-Being issues, and links to numerous campus and non-campus resources.

Student Care services are a starting point for students in distress and in need of multiple levels of support. Student Care uses compassionate and non judgmental coaching techniques to help someone progress in the areas they are stuck. We view the student as the expert in their own life, listening without judgment and empowering students to explore strategies that help them address concerns and challenges.
Why Make an Student Care Appointment?
- You want to create a plan of action for effectively managing stress, emotions, or
finances - You are dealing with a difficult situation without any clear support (unable to rely on
family, not in a good living situation, not connected to therapy or mental health
services, isolated socially, etc.) - You want to discuss options for staying in school while dealing with a complex situation
- You want to discuss taking some time off school (with the intent to return) in order to
deal with a complex situation - You are struggling to understand how to effectively utilize campus resources to help you
with a current issue

Study Centers, Tutoring, and other Academic Support Services
The UW Instructional Center (IC) – a service of the Office of Minority Affairs & Diversity. Services are for Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) students only. Offers tutoring in many subjects, including:
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Economics
- Math and Statistics
- Physics
- AA 260
- Writing Courses
- Graduate School standardized tests
Center for Learning and Undergraduate Enrichment (CLUE) is the largest free tutoring program at the UW. We provide tutoring and exam review for Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science & Engineering, Economics, Math, Physics, Statistics, and Writing. CLUE tutoring is more than a resource you can access when you’re struggling in a class. It’s a welcoming, inclusive space to connect, ask questions about various subjects, prepare for exams, and have support on homework. All tutors are students at UW who have taken similar courses. CLUE provides drop-in tutoring, scheduled appointments, discussion sessions, and exam reviews.

Some appointment types LiveWell Offers:
A PWC appointment is a collaborative process between you and your Peer Wellness Coach to identify areas of growth and barriers to success. Wellness coaching is focused on your holistic well-being and aims to strengthen your self-awareness, skills and tools, and empower you to do what’s best for YOU. Coaches support you with a variety of skills, tools, knowledge, and resources that they are trained in. Appointments are 40 minutes. Common topics students use Peer Wellness Coaching for:
