We offer Admissions Advising for prospective UW students and current UW students interested in majoring in SBSE or ESRM but who are not SBSE or ESRM majors yet.
We offer Current UW Student advising to all UW students. SBSE and ESRM majors can schedule appointments, as can prospective ESRM and SBSE students who are current UW students.

SEFS Advising has now moved back to Anderson Hall, but as the office doesn’t formally reopen until March 30th (day 1 of Spring quarter) seeing students for in person appointments will involve some changes:
- Drop-in Advising will be REMOTE ONLY on Friday Feb 20th (from 10am-12:30pm and 2:30pm-5pm) and Friday March 13th (from 11am-3:30pm). Please check in at this link.
- In-person drop-in advising for Feb 27 is relocating to WINK 107 and drop-in hours will be from 11am-3:30pm. The QR code to check in for in person advising will be outside of WINK 107, and remote students may check in at this link
- In-person drop-in advising for March 6 is relocating to WINK 021 and drop-in hours will be from 11am-3:30pm. The QR code to check in for in person advising will be outside of WINK 021 and remote students may check in at this link
- Drop-in Advising is not available March 20th or March 27th; please schedule an advising appointment on those days.
- For advising appointment, appointments continue to be available; as it is Registration season, appointments are tight. All remote and in person appointments for UW students are scheduled at this site.

Prospective UW Students interested in the SBSE or ESRM majors should also contact the College of the Environment. College of Environment Advising offers Admissions Advising for prospective UW students, but most importantly will connect you with other current SBSE or ESRM students through the College’s Student Ambassador program to learn more about what it’s like to be a student in SBSE or ESRM, sit in on classes, and anything else of interest about the UW experience.

Undergraduate Academic Advisors in SEFS are seen by appointment only, except for when we have drop-in advising scheduled.

Drop-In Advising Locations and Checking In for Your Visit
Drop-in advising (as of Autumn 2025) will generally be available both in person and remotely via Zoom. Once you arrive (either in person or remotely) for Advising, please register here at this Canvas site to queue up for an available advisor. Drop-in time is for UW students only.

Normal Office Hours and Location
The SEFS Advising Office is available both in person and virtually over Zoom and requires an appointment or registration. See the pertinent Advising Scheduling section above for more specifics.
Here are our normal hours of operation in WINK 104 D, and see further below for anticipated schedule changes
Monday-Friday: 10am-4:30pm during each academic quarter; Closed Weekends and all University Holidays
In-Person Office Location during the Anderson Hall renovation: Winkenwerder (WINK) 104 D. Please note: building access is by UW Student ID card only; the Keycard entrance is on the ground floor.
Staff Availability in WINK 104D: For the duration of our time located in Winkenwerder, Cristina Miranda will be in the office Mondays, Tuesdays, and 1/2 of Wednesdays, and Sandra Maddox will be in the office the other 1/2 of Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. If you come to see us in WINK 104D for an in-person appointment, please come directly to our office rather than stopping at the front desk in 104
Academic Quarter Breaks: Monday-Friday 10am-4:30pm; Closed on all University Holidays
