Research

I am interested in the potential impact of climate change on the vegetation distribution especially the role reproduction plays.  How can climate change drive shifts in tree species distributions through reproduction, dispersal and recruitment? I hope to combine field experiments and statistical simulation modeling techniques to establish tree distribution models with reproductive success, dispersal and recruitment consideration.  Furthermore, this will help us understand climate change adaptation for natural systems and the vulnerability of tree species under climate change. These results could provide scientists more fundamental information for further studies and help policy makers and stakeholders adjusting their management strategies.
