Maple syrup production isn’t just for the upper east coast!
School of Environmental and Forest Sciences assistant professor Indroneil Ganguly proved this when he recently received nearly $500,000 from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) to study maple syrup production from big leaf maple trees in the Riparian Zones of Washington’s forests.
